Our aim was to become a true foodie pub. Today our kitchen is headed Executive  Chef Ram Panwar & his son, Head Chef Amit Panwar. As a dying breed of chefs, Amits father’s career began in Delhi’s first ever-Indian restaurant, Kwality, Connaught Place 1940. With his time on the circuit, he worked with Claridges in Delhi, The Taj Hotel Group and was Head Chef of Air India’s Flight kitchen in the ’70s. Our menu offering is unique, there are no myths shrouded around our lineage, or whether our chefs are from India. We think good food coupled with tradition is the answer to that.

The dated 90’s restaurants and takeaways have reached their shelf life, we seem a good fit as customers seek authenticity and we work very hard to provide that on a daily basis. We have gained a lot of support and followers since we started our Indian Food offering, we are Malvern Hills 1st ever Tandoori & Grill House. 50yrs to date, we celebrate our offering at the Marlbank Inn, Welland, Worcestershire! For us its a relentless task, a serious level of love, pride and protecting our recipes that provided the catalyst to share our food.

 

 

 

We provide a welcoming, non-pretentious environment for you to just relax, be yourself and enjoy some seriously awesome food. India’s gastronomy through its deep-rooted history through the Delhi Sultanate; not just from Northern and Southern of its regions; India shares its beautiful intricacies with Persian, Arab, Chinese and influences European and popular food culture today. Yet in Britain, we are still to uncover what real authentic Indian food is? 

Being rare custodians of high gourmet, Mughlai and ancient recipes, the legacy continues with our humble kitchen. The menu is short and concise, we’re not into 3-page menus, we make everything from scratch. Our menus give a true historic account of North & South India’s finest recipes, we explore exotic far eastern links with Tibet and regions of Assam and like to break rules sometimes! 

 

Gins & SINGLE MALTS

From the finest Gins, The Artisan suppliers, to the Japanese Whiskies, we’re building up our tippled. Its a choice that we rotate, we’re not s substandard drink pot and we’re really working on building our collection! We have a range of fine vodkas, XO bottles, super wines and Champagne and Prosecco for those special occasions. (The Weekends!)

CRAFT BEERS & OUR CELLAR

Our cellar is preserved using the best practice and what works. Over the years, the pub has carved a ‘true beer reputation’. Our impeccable beers, local offerings are of the finest. Newly upgrading all of our cellar kits, we’re also mentioned in the CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale Guide!) With lines cleaning meticulously like clockwork, we ensure we pour through to clean lines daily and rest and use our barrels as quickly as we get them in. If you like local produce, then we’d love to see you at the bar!

Coming from Diego reps; we were glad to be told on inspection;  “this could possibly be the best pint of Guinness in Worcester!” Newly fitted Diego compressor units, the stout is absolutely perfect. If you’re looking for an awesome pint of Guinness, then pop and see us!
